There’s no doubt that my insta-feed has been absolutely bombarded by Euro snaps over the past 2 months. However, shoving 99.9% of my fomo aside, I embraced a little slice of Sydney’s paradise with a Bondi staycation at QT and it is safe to say the envy (temporarily) disappeared.
Upon walking into the lobby, you capture the overall feel of the hotel, which is bubbly and bright. It’s quite refreshing and ties in perfectly with the vivacious vibe that Bondi gives.
Entering our room, we were greeted by a table of fresh croissants and a bottle of red (tick and tick). It’s comfortable, modern and has a spacious balcony, ideal for reading a book and embracing the sea breeze.
The interiors are certainly on the quirky side, but it’s all apart of the full QT Bondi experience, trust me. If a grammable space is up the top of your staycation criteria, then the rooms will certainly allow for a quality snap or two.
Dinner at Drake Eatery definitely did not disappoint the tastebuds. We’re talking burrata with hommus, pillows of fluffy gnocchi, crispy truffle (yes, truffle) brussels, grilled eggplant with labne…. all followed by a mandatory Messina. I still to this day am regretting my choice of one scoop and not two.
Only a short walk away is Bills, making it a highly convenient breakfast location. An early morning run to Bronte completely justified my choice of the hotcakes with honeycomb butter (still dreaming about them).
A quick, rejuvenating Bondi weekend at QT is an experience I couldn’t recommend more. Embracing the Bondi lifestyle was just the mini holiday I needed! To be repeated, pronto.
